Parks consultation

May 01st 2026

Following the Community Levelling Up Funding received last year to open up the scrubland to form the Nature Park and the extension of the play area at Battery Mill Play park, the Parish Council (SEPC) would like to consult residents on plans for the SEPC owned and managed ‘parks’ in the parish – these do all sit within the village of St Erth, but SEPC is mindful that the parish itself covers a wider area.

This includes:

  • Vicarage Gate Park & Playing Field
  • Battery Mill Play Park
  • Green Lane Park
  • Kew Treguarrak community area

SEPC has a number of funding pots currently available including the proceeds from the sale of the Vestry Rooms (which needs to be spent on a capital project).

We have recently received a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Neighbourhood payment, as  a result of recent development, which can be used for the provision, improvement, replacement, operation or maintenance of infrastructure or anything else that is concerned with addressing the demands that development places on an area (and can be used in any location in the Parish).

In addition, there is development money (S106) that can only be spent on specific areas as outlined in the relevant section of the survey.

It should be noted that anything suggested in the survey will be assessed for both suitability and affordability before proceeding with any proposals.

This survey will be used by SEPC for the purposes of community engagement and no personal data will be retained beyond its immediate purpose.  By submitting this form you are agreeing to the Parish Council handling your personal data https://sterth-pc.gov.uk/your-council/policies/data-protection/.

The closing date for submissions to this survey, to ensure that your answer gets included in the statistics, is Friday 22nd May 2026 at 5pm.

The survey can be completed by scanning the QR code below or via this link: https://forms.gle/A79skVX2TSEyKtQt8. Alternatively, paper copies are available in the Shop or at the Farmers Market if you prefer to complete the survey this way.  Any completed paper surveys should be put in an envelope addressed to St Erth Parish Council and posted through the letterbox on the side door of the Church Hall, The Green Lane, St Erth TR27 6HS.
