Hayle River Vision Plan

May 09th 2023

For anyone that has not yet seen it, here is the link for the finalised Vision Plan which Cornwall Council published last October.  Please be aware that the fact that the plan has been published does not mean that the opportunities that Cornwall Council and the Environment Agency have identified are a list of projects that will definitely be carried out.  Should Cornwall Council decide to pursue any of these opportunities (some of which we know resulted in a lot of feedback from residents which is included in the Summary Table), they will all require further discussions to determine feasibility going forwards.

Two stakeholder meetings have been held since the publication of the plan, which have mainly be focussed on the work that Cornwall Council is carrying out on the closed section of footpath at Carbis Mill, something that we know is a priority for our community and beyond.  Following feedback from the recent Annual Parish Meeting, SEPC will be pushing for Cornwall Council to follow up on setting up the four working groups that it spoke about and if any residents are interested in joining these groups please do let the Clerk know.
