Footpath Closed

December 16th 2019

Please be advised the footpaths marked in RED below are legally closed for the forseeable future, owing to the river eroding the paths to dangerously narrow widths in several locations, and likely to undermine them completely in at least two locations this winter.

Cornwall Council will be discussing this issue as a matter of urgency with the Environment Agency early in the new year, and exploring the practical options going forward.

Be assured you will be the first to know as and when Cornwall Council come to a decision regarding the future of this popular route, be it in the form of a legal diversion or engineering works to the river bank.

Many thanks
