Kernow Carers Forum next Meeting 20th November

October 24th 2019

We’d like to ask for your help to make more unpaid carers aware of the next Penzance Carers Forum meeting on Wednesday 20 November. If you are able to either display our leaflet or add information to a newsletter or social media site to make carers you have contact with aware of our service, we would be very grateful.

These meetings are run by the Kernow Carers Service and are a free service for unpaid carers to give them an opportunity to discuss the issues they face and have their voices heard in a welcoming and confidential environment, with others facing similar problems. There are many people in our community who are unaware of the help they can get and who also may not recognise themselves as carers because they look after a relative or friend. Staff from Kernow Carers Service will be at the meetings, and will be able to give help and advice to carers, including making referrals to Carer Support Coordinator (CSCs) who work directly with individual carers to help them with any issues they have, including signposting to benefits and services. Where issues can’t be resolved at the meeting or by a CSC, we can bring them to the attention of other organisations such as the Carers Partnership Board and Healthwatch.

The next meeting of the Penzance Carers Forum will be held on Wednesday 20 November 2019 at Community Room 303, St John’s Hall, Alverton Street, Penzance, TR18 2QR from 2.00 – 4.00 pm. All Carers are welcome and expenses will be considered to enable them to attend.
