Please be aware that the ‘No Right Turn’ restriction has been reinstated at the junction of the A30/Station Approach. This restriction is a legal requirement of the Traffic Regulation Order and should be adhered to by all drivers.
Wills Bros. has asked for your cooperation in observing this restriction in its efforts to improve the safety of the junction and reduce the risk of a serious accident.
As many residents will know, the Parish Council has been pressing for safety improvements at this junction (and better quality resurfacing), since the restrictions were first introduced and raised this potentially dangerous situation with: Wills Bros., Ward Williams, Cornwall Council, Highways England, the Police and finally escalated it to our MP.
Parish Council representatives attended a meeting with Ward Williams on 17 April to discuss these problems at this junction and other matters but only Ward Williams sent two representatives.
Despite invitations being sent out by Ward Williams in January for this meeting and accepted by Wills Bros., Cornwall Council, Highways England, GWR, Network Rail and others, some of them subsequently declined and the others just didn’t turn up.
Despite the apathy of others, the Parish Council will, of course, continue to press for improvements during the remainder of the Hub Project which is now expected to finish at the end of December (2018).
