Upgrade to Railway at Scorrier

February 19th 2018

As part of the Railway Upgrade Plan, Network Rail are securing an historic mine that runs near the railway at Scorrier, near Redruth in Cornwall. Work to improve the ground will increase resilience and prevent it becoming a problem in the future. Once this is complete we will be replacing the track in the area.

This upgrade work will require us to close the railway for four days while Network Rail work around the clock. This will take place between 00:25 Monday 19 March and 04:40 Friday 23 March. We have been working closely together to provide rail replacement services over this period.

Main line trains will start and stop at Truro, where replacement transport has been arranged.
