The Green Lane Park

In 2016 the Parish Council transformed a neglected and overgrown site to provide a picnic area and Youth Shelter for the village, using grant funding from the Hayle Area Plan Partnership and labour costs to clear the area kindly donated by Cherry Trees Garden Services.  Councillor John Pollard, then Leader of Cornwall Council who performed the formal opening ceremony in July 2016 said that “this project proves that when we work together – in this case, the public, private and voluntary sectors – we can achieve great results we can be proud of – and perhaps more than we could by simply working alone.”
