Battery Mill Play Park
This play park is owned by the St Erth Playing Fields Association of which the Parish Council are sole Trustees. The purpose of the Association is to provide and maintain a recreation ground for the benefit of the inhabitants of the parish. The Parish Council has recently replaced the Cable Runway which is proving popular with residents and visitors alike. Grass cutting and general maintenance is carried out regularly.
The Green Lane Park
In 2016 the Parish Council transformed a neglected and overgrown site to provide a picnic area and Youth Shelter for the village, using grant funding from the Hayle Area Plan Partnership and labour costs to clear the area kindly donated by Cherry Trees Garden Services. Councillor John Pollard, then Leader of Cornwall Council who performed the formal opening ceremony in July 2016 said that “this project proves that when we work together – in this case, the public, private and voluntary sectors – we can achieve great results we can be proud of – and perhaps more than we could by simply working alone.”
Vicarage Gate Play Park & Playing Fields
Vicarage Gate is a small park owned and maintained by the Council. It was originally set up by the Residents Association and is mainly aimed at the smaller children with a wooden trail. There is also a football pitch which is open for use by anyone.
