Planned Essential Sewer Works – Fore Street

April 27th 2023

Further to previous posts advising residents of proposed road closures in May, all residents in Fore Street should have now received the following letter from Cormac:

Dear All

We are writing to let you know that works will soon be underway to install new foul sewer and surface water drainage, connecting the new Boscarnek Park housing development, to the existing systems.

Cormac have been appointed as Contractor on behalf of South West Water, and will be on site from 15th May, for a period of approximately four weeks.  Working hours will be from 8am until 5pm.

The works will take place in the highway and will include excavation of trenches and installation of drains, followed by resurfacing. A section of highway, approximately 24m in length from the new development, to Fore Street will be closed, with a sign posted diversion route in place. There will also be some parking restrictions in place. Access will be maintained for emergency vehicles, buses, and for any properties within the closed section. This system will be monitored throughout the works, to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum. However, do please take a little extra time for your journeys to allow for the diversion route.

At times, you may experience some noise disruption, and we wanted to let you know that we will do all we can to keep this to a minimum. We will carry out the works, and remove restrictions, as quickly as is possible. Thank you in advance for your co-operation, it is very much appreciated.
