CIL funding for Mini Skate ramp

February 09th 2023
The Parish Council is delighted that it has secured £76,000 from Cornwall Council’s CIL (Community Infrastructure Levy) funding for a mini skate ramp in Battery Mill Play Park.
The application was submitted by SEPC last year, following a very positive consultation with residents where 89% of those who responded were supportive of the proposal. The funding was confirmed recently following a very competitive process; from 124 original ‘expressions of interest’, we were one of only 21 applicants to be successful. This project is the culmination of an idea originally put forward a few years ago by a local resident that SEPC is delighted to be able to bring to fruition for the benefit of our community, both young and young at heart.
Once the paperwork has been completed with Cornwall Council, we will update everyone about the planned time frame for the works.
The picture shown is a conceptual design of how the ramp may look.
