Network Rail Track Improvements

December 03rd 2020

Network Rail improvement works  begin between Penzance and St Ives/Truro this Saturday (5th) until Thursday 10th.

Replacement buses are operating and for more information please visit: www.gwr.com/westcornwall. We will be happy to help if you need further clarification.

Journeys will be longer, and buses are also subject to strict social distancing and capacity is limited.

To help we have added dedicated school bubble buses for Truro School. Information has been sent to parents from the school but do let me know if you need further information on this.

We also have standby buses and if capacity does exceed the permitted limit on the buses, we will order taxis. This will however add further time to journeys.

Renewing the track on this stretch of line is essential. We are working together to minimise the disruption, and to keep customers and colleagues Covid safe. We have updated customers through station, on train and online messaging, we have also used both traditional and social media to get the message out. We would also appreciate any help you can give us in getting the message out.

We will be monitoring things closely and will keep you updated if anything changes.
