Coronavirus (COVID-19

March 02nd 2020

With lots of news going around about the Coronavirus (COVID-19), I want to update you on Cornwall Council’s preparations and involvement on this issue.

Daily updates

Our officers are working closely with our partners in health and linking into daily national updates from Public Health England, so they are fully informed of what is happening and the appropriate level of involvement and preparation needed. Should the situation change in Cornwall, we will provide timely updates to town and parish councils.

Advice for the public

Public Health England is leading on advice for the public. If you receive any enquiries about Coronavirus from people in your area, please signpost them to the NHS website.

There is also an Information about Coronavirus (COVID-19) page on the Cornwall Council website with useful links and general information on staying well during the flu season. This is where we suggest you go for the latest national guidance, as the sites shown on this page will be routinely updated.
