Parish Clerk/Responsible Financial Officer
Salary: SCP20-26 £25,295 – £29,636(£20,509-£24,029 for this 30 hours per week role)
St Erth Parish Council is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual with excellent organisational and administrative abilities and a good knowledge of local government.
This role offers an opportunity to support councillors with the provision of services and facilities for the community. The work is varied and demanding. You will support the development of projects and management of projects and contractors, ensuring that the Council operates within its financial and legal obligations.
The successful candidate must possess good IT skills, be well organised and be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with councillors, the community, Cornwall Council and other stakeholders. You will have a good working knowledge and application of current relevant legislation.
The postholder will principally work from home, attend regular meetings in the Parish including evenings. Benefits include a contributory pension scheme (NEST) and contractual and public holidays.
Closing Date: Noon on Tuesday, 24th December 2019. Interviews are likely to be held on Saturday, 18th January 2020.
