Are you registered to vote?

With the forthcoming Neighbourhood Plan Referendum (on 24 May), residents who are not registered to vote already may want to know how they can register.

Cornwall Council advises that “Legislation has changed in recent years and while we can send people a paper form called “Invitation to Register” if they request one, perhaps a more convenient way would be to go online at https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote They will need to have their NI number and date of birth ready.

Remember – this is only if you are not registered to vote – you don’t need to do anything if you are registered already. The deadline to register is by midnight on Tuesday 8 May.
