Failure at SWW Sewage Treatment Works at St.Erth

January 19th 2018

We have been advised that there has unfortunately been a failure of a critical item of equipment on site, as a result there is a potential, heightened risk of odours emanating from the Sewage Treatment Works.

South West Water apologise for this and want to assure local residents that emergency repairs are being undertaken at this time to resolve the situation. In addition to this e-mail we have updated the SWW contacts centre should any members of the public be in touch.

In addition, as the failed equipment was only installed last year we are in contact with the supplier to get a permanent solution in place, we hope to have an interim solution in place by close of play today.

For further information please contact SWW 0344 346 2020
